Why Chesterfield Gordon?
A bit of a bio behind Chesterfield Gordon.
A few days ago the three of us had a meeting and realised our blogs are all about the property market and all things property (as they should be) but there was little about why you should give Chesterfield Gordon a go.
So we thought to give some context as to who we are, how we met and why Chesterfield Gordon was formed. And hopefully this gives you a few reasons why working with Chesterfield Gordon will make sense.
Despite being in our infancy we have already won awards:

A brief bio on the 3 founders:
Tom got the property bug after working during summer holidays in the family business; providing relocation services to Blue chip 500 and Embassies relocating their staff to Libya. It was here that he learnt the value of providing a high standard and discreet service to clients. After graduating from Oxford Brookes he went on to pursue estate agency in London. Starting his career in Fulham in both Sales and Lettings before moving onto a more established central London agency dealing with some of London's finest rental properties. It was here he met Sebastian and the two hit it off very quickly becoming good friends. Tom then went south of the river to Battersea and joined a small independent agency working in Lavender Hill, which had 16 agents on the strip. The saying went "if you can make it in Lavender Hill you can make it anywhere" as an agent was very true. It was here he met Rumz (aka mr South West London) and formed a solid friendship. Ever since a young age Tom always wanted to have his own project and after Covid it was a "now or never moment." He and Sebastian met up a few times and discussed the possibility of opening an agency and Tom said that "we would need Rumz on board to make this work." Tom introduced Sebastian and Rumz to each other and after a few dinners we formed a business plan and Chesterfield Gordon was born.
Sebastian comes from a yachting, property and hospitality background. His parents were the founders of Sun Sail (Yacht chartering & brokerage) and after selling the business they opened a luxury island resort in South East Asia. Sebastian has a degree in wine and used this knowledge, not only whilst being the Maitre D' of the Wolseley in London, but also when he spent a few years working on the family resort. It was here he understood the high demands from guests staying on the island. No request was too much to handle. Whilst working on the resort Sebastian focussed on client relationships and new business. After a few years working in the resort he moved back to London determined to make a mark in the property world. Here he met Tom when working as a property consultant in a central London agency. It was here they formed their friendship and decided to sow their seeds and start their own agency together.
Rumz landed in the UK in the 80's and grew up in Kingston Upon Thames Surrey. Before working his way into the property world Rumz started his career in retail where he learnt the importance of forming relationships and being a people person was the key to his success in generating new business and making his mark everywhere he went. He then worked for a small independent estate agency in Battersea working his way up from a trainee negotiator to becoming a lettings manager, growing the lettings business into one million pound branch. A lot of this success was down to his previous skills from retail by quickly developing long-lasting relationships with landlords and investors to help achieve their property goals and has maintained these relationships throughout the 17 years of service to the industry. Being a family man (having a supportive wife and being a father to 3 boys) Rumz believes in being a good communicator and achieving a "win: win" for both parties lies at the heart of being a well rounded property professional. He met Tom on his journey in Battersea and after being introduced to Sebastian decided to form Chesterfield Gordon to help people from all backgrounds achieve their property goals.
